A little guidance

Find the right specification

A considered entrance. A wider view. Compare dimensions, glass and opening arrangements rather than price alone. Allow room for handles, thresholds and the way your space will be used.

These starter configurations are here to make comparisons easier. Final sizes, technical requirements and delivery arrangements need checking before manufacture.

Your questions, answered

Can I change the dimensions shown on a card?

Yes for bespoke products: the linked configurator lets you adjust within its supported limits. Stock products use fixed dimensions.

Are these prices final?

Listed sizes are firm prices including VAT. Other sizes and upgrades are estimates. We confirm the final price, specification and delivery cost on your invoice before anything is made.

What should I check before buying?

Have the structural opening measured by your installer. Confirm opening direction, finish, glass requirements, access and unloading arrangements.

Can I buy as a homeowner?

Yes. Anyone can order. Add items to your basket and place an order request; we confirm sizes and send an invoice for payment before manufacture.

Aluminium doors for every opening

The right door depends on the width of the opening and how you want to use it. Bi-fold doors clear almost the full width. Sliding doors keep large panes of glass and never swing into the room. French doors suit narrower openings up to 2,400 mm and have a traditional look. Single doors are made for back and side entrances.

Bi-fold, French and single doors come with standard hardware, including a lever handle and an Ultion high-security cylinder lock.

Supply only: what that means

Glazing Counter supplies products for your own builder or installer to fit. We don’t survey or install. That keeps the price down and lets you use a fitter you trust, but it also means the sizes you order are your responsibility. Have your installer confirm the structural opening before you order, especially for made-to-measure products, which can’t be returned unless faulty (see returns).

How ordering works

There is no online payment. Add your configured item to the basket and send an order request. We check every size and option, then email you an order confirmation and an invoice that includes delivery to your postcode. You pay by bank transfer, and manufacture is booked once payment has cleared. Read more on our delivery page and in our terms.

Frequently asked questions

Which door is best for a narrow opening?

For openings up to 2,400 mm, French doors are often the simplest choice. A 2-panel bi-fold is another option from 1,200 mm.

Can I mix colours inside and out?

Dual colour (white inside, grey outside) is available on many products, and is confirmed on your invoice.

Do the doors come with locks?

Our bi-fold, French and single doors come with standard hardware, including a lever handle and an Ultion high-security cylinder lock.
